Science park plot — Harwell
Capping and Type 1 delivered against a phased earthworks programme, with WAC-classified arisings taken off on the return leg.
Skip hire across Oxford and Oxfordshire, from 4-yard midi skips for small strip-outs to 40-yard roll-on/roll-off containers for volume construction waste. We arrange highway permits where the skip has to sit on the road, and everything goes to a licensed transfer station with a waste transfer note.
Central Oxford work is dominated by restricted access — narrow college lanes, bus gates and conservation-area constraints mean grab and bulk-bag drops often beat an 8-wheel tipper. Out of town it flips: science-park and housing plots take full artic loads of Type 1 and capping against a call-off programme, with muckaway running back to licensed facilities in the same movement.
Stocked aggregates, bedding and topsoil are usually on site within 24–72 hours across OX postcodes. City-centre drops inside the bus-gate network are booked to a timed early-morning window; Harwell, Culham, Didcot and Bicester take full tipper or artic loads to your call-off dates.
Small refurbishments and garden clearances where space is tight.
The standard construction skip for mixed builders' waste and small strip-outs.
Bulky, lighter waste — timber, packaging and fit-out arisings.
Volume waste on active construction sites with room for a roll-on/roll-off.
Tell us what's going in and where the skip can stand — road or private ground.
Where the skip sits on the highway we apply to the council for the permit on your behalf.
Booked exchanges keep work moving, with a transfer note for every container.
All containers go to licensed transfer stations, with waste transfer notes issued for every collection and recovery rates reported on request.

If the skip stands on a public road or verge in Oxford you need a highway permit from the local authority. We apply for it on your behalf — allow a few working days. On private ground or a driveway no permit is needed.
No asbestos, gas cylinders, tyres, batteries, liquids, paint, fridges or other hazardous items. Tell us if any are present and we'll arrange a compliant separate route.
For soil, muck and hardcore in any quantity a grab or tipper usually moves more material per movement than skips. Skips suit mixed construction and strip-out waste.
